To Do List

VISIT
Tim Walker 'Story Teller' exhibition @ Somerset house.

Fashion photographer Tim Walker has launched his 'Story Teller' exhibition at Somerset House. Supported by Mulberry (I love it already) this visually stunning, extravagant exhibition cannot be missed. A collection of giant props mixed with the photographs which these props were used in – including the giant doll that chased Lindsey Wixon through the woods for Vogue Italia, it really is visually overwhelming. There are scenes including giant crocodiles, pink clouds, an alien surprising a fox hunt and giant toy dolls, so if fantasy and the strange excite you, then this exhibition is one for you. And it's FREE! October 18th 2012- January 27th 2013.

READ
Giselle Scanlon's The Goddess Experience.

This book is a must read for all travel, scrapbook, insider knowledge loving girls. Not only does this book provide you with a list of all the best shops, restaurants, bars and areas to visit in all major cities such as London, Berlin, Paris and New York, it is also visually stunning. I use it as my very own handbook whenever I go away to a new place. It gives tips on how to save money by supplying insider knowledge of the city, so you can visit the places the locals do therefor avoiding over-priced tourist areas. Gathering knowledge from designers, chefs and event organisers, Giselle shares her very best recommendations and helps us in all things fashion, food and general fun. It also makes a gorgeous little gift for a friend to drool over the beautiful illustrations and lifestyle advice.

SIGN UP FOR
Future Cinema.

If you love cinema and you love an experience full of surprises, this is the perfect event for you. Putting on a few events a year, Future Cinemas take film to a whole new interactive level. I had one of the best nights of my life when my boyfriend bought us tickets for Future Cinemas presents Grease. The company have a whole cast of actors who stay in character throughout the whole event, making you feel like you're actually in the film. Set up in a field in London, it was transformed into Rydell High complete with the fairground, diner, school dance hall (with live band), a drive in cinema to watch the film and even Frenchy's very own beauty parlour. Hundreds of actors walk around in character, pretending to be teachers, Pink Ladies and T-birds from Rydell High welcoming you back to school after the summer break, making it really feel like you are one of the students. Think T-Birds in Cadillacs, a mass sing along, a dance off, thousands of Pink Ladies and a drive in cinema. Sign up at www.futurecinema.co.uk and wait for the next email. See you there! (Watch how much fun I had here: http://youtu.be/LkFAHDFlY2k)

SUBSCRIBE
Glossybox.

I'd heard of Glossybox for a while and never actually signed up before, but as it was my birthday last week I thought this would be the perfect gift. You can sign up for a one off box or a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. Every month you receive a beautifully wrapped box full of beauty products from high end brands and brands which you would never have heard of before. I love receiving parcels in the post, so this is the perfect subscription for me! Coming home from work to find a pink box full of goodies, wrapped up with black paper and pink ribbon is just magical. Each box is £10 but the products you get in the box add up to over £50 sometimes, so if you are like me and love getting parcels, love beauty products and love trying out new brands, then ask for this for Christmas! It's the gift that keeps on giving. Head to www.glossybox.co.uk.

EAT
Four o nine @ Clapham North.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I had my first experience here last week for my birthday and it was perfect for the special occasion. If you didn't know about it, you would never find it as it has a huge secret blue door which you have to ring the bell to enter. With strictly no walk ins, the atmosphere inside is relaxed and romantic with friendly waiters who know exactly what they're talking about. For the quality of the food and the relaxed, not rushed, private feel of the whole evening, it was absolutely incredible value. You can book afternoon tea, lunch and dinner and for the next special occasion, I definitely suggest that you do. Visit www.fouronine.co.uk to book.

DRINK
Tsunami @ Clapham High Street.

I first went to Tsunami when my boyfriend moved into his new pad in London and we were exploring the area, since then it has become a regular haunt for cocktails with friends. We went there the other day and the boys went straight for their classic 'Old Fashioned' which is a whiskey based cocktail. I'm not a fan of whiskey and didn't know what I wanted from the menu, so our barman, Byron, said to think of ANY flavour and he could make a custom made drink for me. I decided I wanted a vanillary, chocolatey martini and what he made was sensational! A few more custom made cocktails down the line and a slightly fuzzy head, we decided the man was a genius and tried to buy him as our own personal drinks wizard. Unfortunately he is going away to South America in 5 weeks time, but get down there and see why I love it so much. The food is also absolutely incredible, so I say book a table and get the best of both worlds. Oh, and they do takeaway too! For a cosy date night, make your own cocktails and get a posh takeaway.

HAVE A GANDER AT THESE TOO
